GASKETS 

 

SOFT GASKETS:

 The most widely used gaskets for general industry applications. "PEARL" Soft Gaskets are made with special attention to the medium, mechanism & assembly of the machinery where it has to be applied. They are cut from various soft Gasket materials such as: Paper, Cork, Rubber, C.A.F. Jointing Sheet, Beater, Woven Asbestos Fabrics, P.T.F.E., Graphic Sheets, etc

 

HEAD ( CYLINDER ) GASKETS:

 Making a Cylinder Head gaskets require a lot of precision, accuracy & above all experience of making such types of gaskets. For making premium quality "PEARL" cylinder head gaskets, a good quality of soft gasket material is coated on metallic sheets ( either plain or pegged as required) and are also subjected to appropriate Surface Coatings if required. Soft Gaskets material used is C.A.F. Jointing Sheet or Beater Addition Jointing Sheets or Millboard Jointing Sheets and Metal Sheets specified are Tin Plate or Stainless Steel Sheets.

 

SPIRAL WOUND GASKETS

Spiral Wound are a versatile gasket used to compensate for joint relaxation in cycling pressure & temperature variation. The construction is of V shaped metal and soft protruding filler material. This assembly acts as a spring and materials can be varied to handle a wide range of chemicals as well as steam. Compression is controlled either by the design of the flange containing the gasket or alternatively by an outside metal ring. An inner ring can also be fitted in high pressure applications for vacuum or to prevent media build up. It is mainly applied in Steam generation & associated pipework , petrochemical industry, valves & energy industries. 

 

METAL JACKETED GASKETS

This type of gasket is used where complicated shapes are required and on smooth mating surface. A wide range of temperature & pressure is possible is possible as a large range of construction materials and styles are available. Construction comprises of a soft filler material such as Asbestos Millboard, C.A.F., P.T.F.E, Graphite etc. totally or partially enclosed in metal jacket. Metal jacket can be made of various substances such as: Soft iron, Copper, Nickel, Brass, Aluminium, Titanium, Stainless Steel etc.

MOULDED GASKETS

To provide efficient & the most economical sealing , the special moulded gaskets are manufactured by mixing & moulding various substances such as Asbestos Fibres, Synthetic Rubber, Cork Granules etc. with suitable fillers & agents. A special care is given to the precision & accuracy while preparing the moulds for such gaskets. Moulded gaskets are very fast emerging in the mainstream of gaskets, due to its cost effectiveness &variety of formulations. It is mainly suitable for tappet covers, oil pumps, valves.
